Top B-schools hiring faculty from abroad
The gloomy economic scenario in the West, coupled with the rising number of internationally renowned B-schools in India is now attracting overseas faculty to Indian B-schools. IIM-A has received seven applications for faculty posts from foreigners while ISB claims that it is receiving several applications from foreigners for its faculty positions.
New Trend: More CAs joining B-schools
This year, IIM-B has 10 CAs while Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai, has five students with CA degrees. B-Schools, which have been dominated by engineers, and science and commerce students until now, are seeing a rise in the number of chartered accountants opting for management degrees.
