Different IIT cut offs for different boards

Only students in the top 20 percentile in their respective boards will be allowed to sit for JEE Advanced exams – the final step to IITs. Preliminary data of seven boards across India shows that the Class XII scores to get into the top 20 percentile vary widely from board to board.

CBSE – 77.8%,
Tamil Nadu – 78.1%,
Karnataka – 67.5%,
