Projects and Holiday Homeworks – Are they really helpful in learning?

Many parents ask this questions to the teachers and  teachers argue that if the students are not kept on track during the holidays, then many of them may find it difficult to pick up the thread when the school reopens. It is for this reason students are assigned some projects or home works during holiday. Educationists also subscribe to the views of the teachers. They say that studying is always a continuous activity. As and when the student moves to higher classes, his level of participation in learning should automatically increase. If holiday is given for longer duration it may affect the students’ routine. As a result, the student may find it difficult to cope up when the school reopens. On the other hand, if students attend the assignments or projects during holidays, it keeps the student busy and it also helps the teacher to check the overall performance of the student.

More Than 350 LLM Students Denied Hall Tickets Due To Short Attendance

Mumbai University denied hall tickets to 350 LLM students. The university official said that the students were denied hall ticket because they were short on attendance. According to the rule, all students must have a minimum of 75% attendance in their academic session to get the ticket. Mr. Vilas Shinde, controller of examinations, Mumbai University, said, “We have sent the hall tickets of all students to the concerned department. It is up to the department head to distribute it to the students.” Most of the students are either assisting advocates or working with some law or other firms.
